New iPhone 12 Facts & Specs

New iPhone 12 Facts & Specs

It’s that time of year where Apple has announced their next flagship model! What can we expect from the iPhone 12?

The first thing to note is that this 2020 release is available in multiple sizes that have varying capabilities, including:

• iPhone 12: This is the primary model and is the smallest standard iPhone that has been released since 2016 when the iPhone SE hit the market.

• The iPhone 12 mini: This is an even smaller version of the model above and is perfect for those that want a comfortable one-handed experience.

• The iPhone 12 Pro: With a similar design to the regular model, the Pro differs with a three-lens camera instead of two and is made with a more luxurious stainless steel casing.

• The iPhone 12 Max: This model comes with the heftiest price tag and highest camera resolution. The Max provides another option to people interested in the latest innovation and getting the most out of their iPhones.

If you’d like the Apple experience, but would like to pay a little less, why not consider a refurbished iPhone XS Max? Take a look at our range to see if we’ve got the phone for you.

Eliminated Accessories

In a slightly controversial move, new iPhone 12s will not come with the power adapter or earphones. These must be purchased separately when traditionally they have come in the box with a new phone.

The reasoning behind this is that Apple claims most people upgrading to the 12 will already have these accessories and won’t need another set.

5G Connectivity

One especially exciting feature of all the iPhone 12 models is the addition of 5G connectivity.

As networks continue to roll out 5G, iPhone 12 users will be able to download and stream in high definition far quicker than phones that are only capable of 3G or 4G.

Upgraded Cameras

A step up from the iPhone 11, the 12 has an f/2.4 ultra-wide camera with f/1.6 aperture designed to increase performance and picture quality in low-light.

The A14 chip means that photos have more texture and clarity. The phone’s Smart HDR 3 feature means it can adjust things like contrasts and saturation for more professional-looking images.

Further improvements are added to the Pro and Max with a three-lens setup and a LiDAR sensor that maps out the phone’s surrounding and helps it understand how far away subjects of photos are. The telephoto lenses allow for an increased optical zoom range and some amazing quality photographs!

H2: Wireless Charging

Like most phones these days, the iPhone 12 has wireless charging capabilities. However, the 12 is unique in that a new magnet feature on the back of the phone can align with wireless chargers. This means the phone will line up perfectly with the sensors so users can be sure their phone is charging as it should be.

You will also be able to purchase new MagSafe chargers, cases and wallet accessories to make the most out of this feature.
