HTC has made another understated gem in the Desire HD. The LCD capacitive touchscreen display packs 480 x 800 pixels and boasts a Blackberry-esque plastic frame and design.

HTC has offered customers a choice of two colours for this handset, which are:

A stripped-back version of a smartphone, they’ve left out a selfie camera, but included an 8MP rear-facing camera that features Dual-LED flash.

The internal storage caps out at 1.5GB, but has backup storage options thanks to the microSD card slot located on the side of the handset.

Music lovers can plug headphones into the jack port, then charge the device up via the microUSB port facility.

The operating system for Desire HD is Android, and the CPU that helps keep the usability nice and slick is a 1.0 GHz Scorpion. 768MB RAM also features.

Sensors built into the HD model are as follows:

• Compass

Lastly, the Desire HD has been designed to fit a removable Li-Ion 1230 mAh battery.
